Partners: Healthy Living Herbs
We have had inquiries from a number of animal charities (including animal welfare, conservation and rehabilitation organisations) wanting to attend the Herbs for Animals Workshops so they can apply what they learn to the work they are doing. Part of the reason we created the Workshop Give-a-Way was to enable charities to join in the Herbs for Animals Workshops, and extend what they learn to their communities. Happy charities means happy animals.
Benefits from attending Herbs for Animals Workshops
- Learn how herbs can be used safely and effectively to enrich an animals environment, as first-aid for minor complaints, to support rehabilitation, prevent disease and promote wellbeing.
- Get to know the plants required to create your own Happy Animal Garden and take them back to work with you.
- Practice making simple first-aid remedies from scratch, and extending what you learn to benefit all animals.
- Learn how to assess the quality of herbs, and what herbs can be safely added to an animal’s food.
- Explore how plants can positively affect the mind, body and behaviour of animals.
- Involve your organisation and your supporters in discovering ethical, sustainable and abundant healthcare solutions for animals.
Who to Send on the Workshop
Charities are free to send whomever they choose. No previous experience with herbs is required.
The ideal participant would be someone who:
- wants to know more about herbs for animals
- is interested in exploring good, green solutions to your current animal challenges
- can take responsibility for implementing what they find useful
- can engage with members of the public offering to support
